STUDENTS RECEIVED SCHOLARSHIPS FROM “ERDENES-TAVANTOLGOI” JSC
The 90 students who selected for the scholarship named after the “Erdenes-Tavantolgoi” JSC of 2019-2020 year received a guarantee on October 4, 2019.
The scholarship program of “Erdenes-Tavantolgoi” JSC for 2019–2020 year was supported by the Ministry of education, culture, science, and sports and the National University of Mongolia.
During scholarship award ceremony Gankhuyag B., CEO of “Erdenes-Tavantolgoi” JSC said “Our Company has done a great job on social responsibility, one of which is scholarship. Scholarship recipients were selected not only based on their academic achievements, but also by their level of creative initiative and self-sustainable. Selected students should make huge investments in the country. Congratulations to all of you who became are students studying on behalf of the company which is highly regarded not only in the country but also in the world.”
“I would like to express special gratitude to the collective of the “Erdenes-Tavantolgoi” JSC for investments. Providing scholarships is the largest intellectual investment. There is a huge responsibility coming up for the scholarship students” noted Ochirkhuyag B., Deputy of Training and students of National University of Mongolia.
Tuvshinbayar B., Director of Polytechnic college of Umnugobi province expressed his appreciation on behalf of all students to “Erdenes-Tavantolgoi” JSC for a significant contribution to local development and investment in youth education.
Since 2013, the company has traditionally awarded scholarships to students of Umnugobi province within the framework of social responsibility, but this year the company first time announced a scholarship program throughout the country.
The scholarship participants had the following basic requirements:
Who studied by the technology of mining operation, geology, mining management, mineral surveyor, the technology of mineral enrichment, mining equipment, operation of mining electrical equipment, agronomy, soil science, agricultural chemistry, forest engineer, ecology, environmental protection, environmental restoration, electrical engineering;
Who studied at 2-4 course undergraduate day classes;
Who has a 3.2-grade point average.
Currently, 256 students have received a company scholarship.
