“ERDENES-TAVANTOLGOI” JSC ANNOUNCES ITS SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM IN UMNUGOBI PROVINCE
“Erdenes-Tavantolgoi” JSC has announced its scholarship program for students from Umnugobi province for school year 2020-2021.
The purpose of the program
“Erdenes-Tavantolgoi” JSC supports students and young people of the Umnugobi province to purpose of providing them with opportunities to study in the desired major at the university, as well as become creative and talented personnel, known in Mongolia and around the world.
Program coverage
“Erdens-Tavantolgoi” JSC has been running a student scholarship program for the seventh year for 2020-2021 academic year. For scholarship will be selected undergraduate students who study in accredited universities and colleges in Mongolia. Totally 60 students from the Siirst, Bilgekh, Tsagaan-Ovoo, Uguumur sum and 30 students from the Umnugovi province will be awarded.
Scholarship
The amount of the scholarship is 1.000.000 MNT / one million / with 10% tax charge.
Requirements
1. The scholarship recipient must be from Umnugobi province;
2. To be a student of 1, 2, 3 or 4 year undergraduate of an accredited university;
3. The student must be highly motivated to learn, leadership in the class by academic achievement, have GPA 2.8 or higher;
4. For first-year students enrolled in the 2020-2021 academic year, the GPA high school diploma GPA must be more than 90%;
5. Only one student from the same family can apply;
6. Must not have previously participated in the “Erdenes-Tavantolgoi” JSC student scholarship program;
7. Not involved in other scholarship at the same time;
8. Be a member of a household with an income below the poverty line.
Required materials
1. 1copy of proof of residence;
2. Official grade certificate of accredited university. GPA 2.8 or higher
3. First year student must submit a copy of high school diploma, a copy of university enrollment certificate, and a copy of general entrance exam certificate;
4. 1 copy of ID card, 1copy photo;
5. Scholarship application;
6. Certificate from the governor confirming income below the subsistence level;
7. Essay on topic “Mining involvement in local development” or “Our participation in mining development” /more than 500words/
Deadline
Materials will be received at the Governor’s Office of Umnugobi province and the Governor’s Office of Tsogttsetsii sum until September 11, 2020.
Remark
Late or incomplete submissions will not be accepted. Please put the materials in an envelope and deliver it.
Announcement of result
Selected student will be notified to the Umnugobi province Governor’s Office and Tsogttsetii sum Governor’s.
