On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the President of Mongolia Battulga. Khaltmaa issued a decree and conferred state titles, orders and medals to representatives of wealth creators, including Mr. Gankhuyag. Battulga, CEO of “Erdenes-Tavantolgoi” JSC, was awarded the title of “Honored Industrial Worker” presented by President Battulga Khaltmaa on September 26, 2020 at the Government Palace.
Mr. Gankhuyag. Battulga has been involved in the TavanTolgoi, since the beginning of the project in 2007 and he was in charge of the mine project in 2010. He is one of the company's first employees and has been promoted from head of department to the CEO. He has been working as the First Deputy Director of “Erdenes-Tavantolgoi” JSC since September 2016 and appointed as the Chief Executive Officer since May, 2018.
During his tenure as CEO, “Erdenes-Tavantolgoi” JSC progressed as debt-free at home and abroad, ranked second in the TOP-100 enterprises for two years in a row, and became the most profitable company in the country.
For example, in 2019 “Erdenes-Tavantolgoi” JSC had reaches sales revenue of 1 billion USD, earned net profit of 1 trillion MNT which was first time among Mongolian national companies. In addition, for the first time, the company has paid 1,072 dividends to 2.5 million citizens and funding major construction projects in the country, including the TavanTolgoi-Zuunbayan, TavanTolgoi-Gashuunsukhait railways, the TavanTolgoi power plant, and improved briquettes to reduce Ulaanbaatar's emissions.
