EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING OF SHAREHOLDERS HAD BEEN CONVENED
Extraordinary general meeting of shareholders of ETT, held on October 19, 2020 at 10:00 am at the office building of “Erdenes-Tavantolgoi” JSC. Due to the spread of new coronavirus infections around the world, EGM of shareholders of “Erdenes-Tavantolgoi” JSC was organized electronically in accordance with the recommendations of the State Emergency Commission. EGM was chaired by Mr. Nandinjargal G, State Secretary of the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry and it was live streamed through official website of the company www.ett.mn, and “1072 Share Information Center” page on facebook, open to all shareholders.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry, the State Property Policy and Regulation Agency, as well as independent members and company executives.
According to the order of the agenda, Mr. Gankhuyag B, CEO of “Erdenes-Tavantolgoi” JSC, presented the dividend distribution report and its progress.
He noted that during the two years of its mandate, the company's Board of Directors has issued 119 resolutions at 47 meetings and kept a summary and detailed minute.
Following the presentation, it was decided to terminate the powers of the members of the Board of Directors and to elect the members of the Board of Directors.
State Secretary of the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry Nandinjargal G, Deputy Head of the Cabinet Secretariat Enkh-Amgalan B, Deputy Director of the Mineral Resources and Petroleum Authority Erdenebayar Ts, Director General of the State Specialized Inspection Agency Gantulga T, Director of the Fair Competition and Consumer Protection Agency Bat-Erdene B, Chief Executive Officer of “Erdenes-Tavantolgoi” JSC Gankhuyag B, Head of Policy Planning and Management Division at State Property Policy and Regulation Agency Bayar-Erdene Ts were elected as a member of the state delegation. As for the independent members Batkhishig D, Amarbat U, Ulziinanran P, Bolor-Erdene Kh were selected. Also, relevant experts answered questions received during live stream of EGM.
During the meeting, it was emphasized that “Erdenes-Tavantolgoi” JSC has gradually resolved the necessary investments and financing for the Tavan Tolgoi-Zuunbayan, Tavan Tolgoi-Gashuun Sukhait railway construction projects and “Tavan Tolgoi Fuel” LLC to reduce emissions in Ulaanbaatar in 2020.
