"ERDENES-TAVAN TOLGOI" JSC HAS DEVELOPED A MODEL PLAN DURING NATIONWIDE HEIGHTENED STATE OF READINESS
In order to intensify and prevent the response to the epidemic of coronavirus infection (Covid-19), the government has decided to announce heightened state of readiness for disaster protection nationwide, for the first time in Mongolia.
In line with this situation, “Erdenes-Tavantolgoi” JSC developed model plan to be implemented during nationwide heightened state of readiness based on the relevant government orders, official orders of the State Special Commission, orders of the Minister of Mining and Heavy Industry and orders of the Minister of Health is working out. The purpose of the plan is to prevent, rescue and provide medical care to employees and the population in the event of a possible coronavirus infection (Covid-19) in the “Erdenes-Tavantolgoi” JSC branch, and to organize the elimination of the damage and the urgent reconstruction. In this context, the necessary work is being carried out in accordance with the plan in order to overcome the pandemic with minimal damage, ensure the continuous operation of the mine, and reduce the health and risk of affecting the workers.
The Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry considers the “Action Plan to be implemented in the event of a transition to public readiness” as a model plan and recommends that other organizations in the sector adopt such a plan.
