THE 2ND ROUND OF APPLICATIONS FOR ETT BONDS HAS BEGUN
In April, “Erdenes Tavan Tolgoi” JSC, for the first time in Mongolia, received permission from the Financial Regulatory Commission to issue ETT bonds for a total amount of up to MNT2 trillion for the implementation of the large projects, programs and financing of the working capital.
ETT bonds were planned to be placed in three stages where the 1st round took place from March 30, 2021 to April 9, 2021. The second round of orders starts today. The second round of the applications will end on August 25 and this time the public will be offered bonds worth USD100 million and MNT285 billion.
This bond is denominated in USD so there is no impairment risk and has the advantage of the relatively high interest rates compared to other financial products in USD. The bond financing will be used for the major national projects such as the “TavanTolgoi” Thermal Power Station, a coal processing plant, a waterworks and a railroad. As a result of the above buildings, the efficiency of the company will increase where by 2025 it is planned to receive a total net profit of MNT11.5 trillion.
To participate in the ETT bond trading, you need to select a brokerage company that is listed on the Mongolian Stock Exchange and open a securities account. The order will then be confirmed by depositing the amount as instructed by the securities brokerage.
