1. “Erdenes Tavantolgoi” JSC (“Company”) is a Mongolian state-owned company that holds mining licenses to the Tavantolgoi coal deposit and one of the largest coking coal exporters in the world. Tavantolgoi coal deposit is regarded as one of the largest and high-quality coking coal deposits in the world located in the Southern Gobi region of Mongolia, approximately 540 km south of Ulaanbaatar, the capital city of Mongolia, and approximately 250 km from the Mongolia-China border crossing at Gashuun Sukhait. It is considered as one of Mongolia’s key assets and strategically important mineral deposits.
The company plans to offer debt on international capital markets with an aim to complete the offering as soon as practical, while taking into consideration of prevailing market conditions.
2. In order to assist in achieving the readiness for the debt issuance, the Company is now seeking an independent Financial Advisor, who is willing to provide uncompromised, independent and unconflicted strategic advice to the Company throughout the ETT Bond issuance preparatory, execution and post issuance phases. Interested candidates who meet the following requirements are invited to apply:
2.1 Must have a team of professionals who have combined experiences in the global capital markets and strategic advisory businesses;
2.2 Must have a prominent debt capital markets practice team with a proven track record of advising on successful debt issuance on international stock exchanges;
2.3 Must have extensive international experience in providing strategic advisory services for entities in the mining sector and/or state-owned enterprises; and
2.4 Prior experience on similar transactions to the Government of Mongolia or Mongolian entities is a plus.
